Visual Presentation Manager (Store Designer)
The Store Designer is the mastermind behind our vibrant and engaging interiors. Your creative spirit, enthusiasm and keen sense of contemporary design drives the “wow” factor our home stores and outlets exude. Under the direction of the Store Manager, you build and execute floor plans that will create an exciting shopping experience for Crate and Barrel customers. You will attend merchandising meetings to view new products and assess how best to showcase them within the store. Your ability to communicate your seasonal merchandising vision with store associates is crucial to the success of your designs, which are evaluated based on sales. As Store Designer, you are also an educator. Developing store associates’ understanding of Crate and Barrel design concepts is a key responsibility.
The Store Floor Manager sets the tempo and pace of the sales floor. You are on the front lines teaching the staff and engaging our customer. Your upbeat attitude and actions reinforce our commitment to excellent customer service. Reporting to both housewares and furniture store managers, you serve as a central communicator, managing work schedules and responding to all mail correspondence. Always on your toes, you effectively resolve conflicts and urgent situations as they arise to ensure a seamless daily operation. In this role, you display your talent as a natural leader, managing a team of stockroom and inventory control associates. As gatekeeper of the stockroom, you supervise, coordinate and direct all related activities, from trafficking ingoing and outgoing merchandise to maintaining a well-organized space.
Stock Associates are the backbone of the store. They serve both internal and external customers. Keeping the stockroom organized and customer-friendly are critical components to our success.
