Customer Satisfaction

At Crate and Barrel, we stand behind the quality of our products and will make things right if you are not satisfied with your purchase. We believe that we can work together with our customers to make every purchase a positive experience. Our shipments are carefully inspected before leaving our store or warehouse, but in the event you are not satisfied with your purchase, simply follow the instructions below.

Housewares Collection Return/Exchange Policy

We will accept merchandise returns for Housewares items within 90 days of purchase and issue a credit or refund at the time of return in the following ways:

  • Original Sales Receipt or Packing Slip will be refunded in the Original Form of Tender.
  • Original Gift Receipt will be refunded via a Shop Crate and Barrel card.

Please note: Shop Crate and Barrel cards and Gift Cards are valid only for Crate and Barrel purchases in Canada and are not redeemable or exchangeable for cash or a cash equivalent, except as required by applicable law.

We appreciate your understanding that Crate and Barrel Housewares merchandise may only be returned in person to a Crate and Barrel store in Canada or by mail. Upon return, your merchandise will be inspected. Credits and refunds issued for items value. Any taxes charged will be refunded in accordance with provincial laws. Shipping and handling charges are nonrefundable.

To return an item by mail, follow the instructions on the packing slip enclosed in your order, insure the package, and mail it to the address on the packing slip. If you do not have a packing slip, please call us at (888) 657-4108.

To return Basic Freight or In-Home Delivery items, please call us at (888) 657-4108 or contact the store where the original purchase was made within 7 days of delivery; we will accept returns within 90 days of delivery. Please follow the instructions on the packing slip enclosed in your order. If an order is cancelled, a refund will be issued in the original form of tender.

If for any reason you are not satisfied with your international purchase, please contact us at customer_service@crateandbarrel.com or call (+001) 630-369-4464 and we will provide you with further return instructions including return shipping and refunds. Refund amounts for returned items will be credited to you by Borderfree in the same currency using the same exchange rate as your original order

Please note: Crate and Barrel stores are unable to accept returns from international orders purchased online at crateandbarrel.com through our global partner Borderfree.

Furniture Collection Return/Exchange Policy

At Crate and Barrel, we take great pride in the quality and craftsmanship of our furniture. Attention to detail in design, materials and construction is always forefront. Every item in our collection is carefully inspected before leaving our warehouse. We encourage you to do the same upon receipt of your purchase. To return a Furniture Collection item for any reason, including damage that occurs in transit or manufacturer defect, please contact us at (888) 657-4108 within 7 days of delivery; we will accept returns within 90 days of delivery. Upon return, your merchandise will be inspected. Exchanges, credits and refunds issued will be for the item purchase price only. Any taxes charged will be refunded in accordance with provincial laws. Shipping charges are nonrefundable, and return shipping fees may apply. In certain circumstances, a usage or restocking fee may apply. If an order is cancelled, a refund will be issued in the original form of tender.
