We love a coffee drink around here, and this creamy, sweet and rich iced Vietnamese version is on repeat! It is super simple with just 2 ingredients but it is incredibly flavorful and really hits the spot, especially for an afternoon treat.

ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 shots (2 ounces) piping hot espresso

directions

  1. Add the sweetened condensed milk to a heat-proof glass. Pour the hot espresso into the glass and stir to combine. Allow this to sit for 5 minutes to cool. Fill a second glass with ice and pour the coffee mixture over the ice.

notes

It is important that the espresso be poured very hot over the condensed milk in order for it to blend well.

For a less sweet version, try 1 tablespoon of sweetened condensed milk and 2 tablespoons half and half or almond or soy milk.

Make sure you are using a heat-proof glass when you pour your steaming hot coffee into the milk.
